I agree. I was asked to sing that role and I turned it down and did Lady
Angela instead. The director said, "But it's a much bigger role, and much
funnier!" and I said, "It's just too low... and I have to put up with singing
about being fat and old. NO THANK YOU!" :) I've done Katisha, I've done
Queen of the Fairies, I've done Ruth - those just don't sit as low throughout
the whole part.

I just played Angela as totally neurotic and she was funny enough.
