Patience mezzo roles:
Lady Angela -- can be played by any one 20-30, and is more of a mezzo part
than the typical G&S contralto
Lady Jane -- older, usually heavier, lower voice. Cannot be played by a cute
young thing because of certain subject matter in her aria.
