Subject:  Re: [vocalist] Question about two modern operas

If you mean by "Patience", Gilbert & Sullivan's opera "Patience", first
produced in the 1880s, then yes, there are two roles eminently suited to a
Mezzo, as Christine Thomas suggested.

Lady Angela is the bigger sing of the two, having a nice duet with the
soprano in Act I. Both sing in a sextet in the Act 1 finale and a nice
quintet in Act II

Both are good comedy parts for mezzos who enjoy to act.

Of course, if you're thinking of another "Patience", then ignore the
foregoing.

Best wishes,
