Someone at work copied an e-mail that she received quoting words
attributed to Nostradamus that had an uncanny correlation to what
happened on Tuesday as well. Without doing research, I have no way of
verifying the accuracy of that quotation, however, I can understand
Ginny's point because the Bible has a special way of pointing out things
in our everyday life, whether they come from prophetic or wisdom
statements.

My husband & I were reminded during the gospel reading on Sunday AM of a
construction project here in Chicago that his company was supplying
materials to that was shut down because of a lack of funds - "Suppose one
of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down & estimate the
cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the
foundation & is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule
him saying, 'This fellow began to build & was not able to finish.'" Luke
14:28-30 (NIV).

Okay, so that was a bit of a tangent but it was a great example to us of
the Bible's relevance to our own lives.

It is important for all of us to remember that there is a lot of evil in
the world. It is up to people of faith to take a stand against it & we
can all start by knowing what the writers of our books of wisdom &
prophecy say about life in general & trying, with God's help, to live it
out.
