Karen's tricks for avoiding 99% of viruses:
1) Use a Macintosh, Unix, or Linux system.
2) Run Netscape instead of Explorer, and Eudora instead of Outlook (i.e.,
do not use Microsoft products if you can possibly avoid them!)
3) Do not keep a personal address book.
4) Do not read any email with a subject line like "I LOVE YOU".
