Hello Karen,

I'm putting your whole post up here, just because... hope this isn't too, um,
embarrassing or whatever...

As for your quote above, what can I say... To quote Bill Cosby -
"Hello"...:o) If I may confess my ignorance, who is Jilly Cooper and what is
"Score"? Do I, um, want to know...?:o)

I must say, I really enjoy your presence on this list - your generosity in
sharing your amazing knowledge of repertoire and your wonderfully intelligent,
articulate writing on diverse and sundrie subjects...

I just had a fresh look at your website - Wow - What a lovely colour headshot,
though it looks a little darkish on my computer. Just a little bit of, um,
"unsolicited feedback"...:o) - I can see what "pros" mean when when they
advise light backgrounds, especially for folks with dark hair, which tends to
blend into dark backgrounds, but I still like this photo very much, just in
its "artistic composition", kind of thing. It's even nicer than your previous
"black & white". How about putting up a few more of yourself? If I may be so
bold, you look very attractive - oh gosh, shucks, blush...:o)

Lots of interesting links I will have to check out some fine day... I did
read some of your Shicoff stuff - a really interesting "slice of life" and as
usual, beautifully written. Have you ever managed to make any money from your
writing? This just kind of interests me, as some kind of would-be writer...

Ideally, It would be nice to hear you sing and for that matter, everyone here,
on that fine day when technology, money, time, life and all that sort of thing
allow us, um, truly "universal access" to cyberspace by whatever means - mp3,
Real Audio (especially one that doesn't lock up and causes the whole computer
to crash...:o()

Meanwhile, I'm not on vacation (I wish...), but I am busy with the last few
weeks of my summer gig here in the Yukon, performing for folks who *are* on
vacation. When I'm not doing that, I'm trying to heal the world from the
confines of cyberspace, actually going for walks along the beautiful Yukon
River in Real Life, doing laundry and such... One of these fine days, I think
I will post something about my own struggles and questions with "this life and
career thing"...

Blessings.

Michael
