Subject:  Re: [vocalist] teachers expectations

The temperament is not the problem. I believe the problem lies in the fact
that I have done a lot of music such as jazz, pop, rock, soul by ear with
bands. Classical music training is very different being that one has to pay
attention to the score and do exactly as the composer has written.

It is my opinion that the change from the first teacher to the second
teachers expectations is what is difficult in making the change. The first
teacher played mother with all of her students including myself thus
limiting growth. I have very high regard for my second teacher and realise
she is correct, and she is tough. Just getting adjusted to what is expected
from one to another is a challenge for me.
