IMHO, the classic in this genre is the Maria Callas Paris recital
version of Casta Diva. It was filmed in 1958 and if you want to see
how bring all of the emotion of the piece across watch this. I saw
it last weekend on TV via the Arts Network which broadcasts all the
old Voice of Firestone stuff as well as a variety of
contemporary "classical" music video snippets.
