Now that you mention songs about snakes, I'm reminded
of the Rorem song about just such a creature. I't
called a snake for sure, no serpent, in the Rorem.
It's also programatic in the vocal line and the piano.
You can see (hear) the snake gliding. Judy, don't
you think you should include some Rorem?
