Wednesday 11th July marks the inaugural concert of OKEANOS, a group devoted
to new compositions.
The group consists of SALLY BRADSHAW soprano
JINNY SHAW oboe
KATE ROMANO clarinet
BRIDGET CAREY viola
LUCY WAKEFORD harp
The concert is in the Great Hall of King's College, The Strand, London at
7.45 and will last an hour.
Entrance for this performance is free and there will be a glass of wine
after the concert to celebrate the launch of the group.
Music by Wiseman (first performance) Maconchy, Weir, Hodgson, Plowman,
Clarke, Sciarrino
Further concerts this season will include premieres of special commissions
by Francis Shaw and Nicola Lefanu and the group will be performing at the
CBSO, Birmingham, the Halle Hall, Manchester and the Wiltshire Arts
Festival.
