A soft bounce is where the message did not get through the first time but
did go through when it was tried again. Messages that don't go through the
first time are held in queue for 5 days and retried at regular intervals
till either the message is delivered or the 5 day limit is reached. The most
common reason is that the mail server that receives the message is
temporally down or otherwise not able to process incoming mail.
