No, we can't all agree on that, because:
1. It is obvious that "anyone" means gays. I did not ever hear you refer to hand-holding by straights as inappropriate. (Do you think it is? Have you never done so?) 2. I do not think that I would classify hand-holding as intimate. 3. I WANT my niece and other children to see gay couples acting like straight couples, so they will perhaps see that it is NOT different and will not carry on the homophobic tradition in America. 4. I want one day to be able to hold my SO's hand without having to look around first for fear of our physical safety and job security. The youth of today is the only hope that this will EVER come to pass.
That said, I usually HATE it when we stray this far from music, but this happens to hit a nerve.
Finally, it has been my experience that when hearing others' opinions makes us doubt our own, the time has come to question and solidify our own opinions.
