The short answer is, "What technique?"

I've been surprised a few times and have heard some songs that I liked:
mostly because he just sang in a straightforward way. In other words, it
didn't sound like him. I will say that he can be quite a communicator.
Usually, I'm so distracted by what he's doing vocally that listening to him
just makes me crazy.
