Thanks to all for listening...but here I go again.
I did an Italy program through my school last summer. it involved learning the language through immersion, study with coaches from the Rossini opera festival,2 one hour lessons a week, and performance in a few concerts.
I had the option of going this year, again. However, money was (and is) a large issue. It costs around 3500 to go. I am still paying off last year's trip! I applied for a grant which was going to cover the cost of this summer's trip, but was denied. My teacher, also the coordinator of this program, found a few ways to get some, but not all, of the money I would need to go. She was not done finding funds for me, when my parents and I talked and they told me it would be better than I come home and work....the trip is pricey, and besides, I already did this program. My teacher was disappointed I would not be going, as I would be one of the older ones in the group with more experience who would be representing the group. Not only that, I planned on helping her out with the group.
I am torn. I don't want to place any more finanicial strain on my family, but I also know that if I went I would have more rep learned, and my voice would be sounding a lot better when I came back.
Any ideas? Should I call my voice teacher and talk to her again?
Thanks,
Molly _________________________________________________________________
