My experience has been that the family usually gives the funeral director
or minister an envelope for the singer & they pass it along after the
service.

For future reference, another song suggestion that is big in Chicago (the
gospel music capital of the world) is "Precious Lord, Take my Hand" by
Thomas Dorsey.
