Five years ago, La Scena Musicale started out as a print and internet
newsletter called La Scena Vocale. The aim was to promote vocal music
with a calendar and articles about great singers of the past. In May
1997, the publication became the non-profit magazine "La Scena
Musicale" to cover all aspects of classical music.
With the development of our news articles database over the last two
years, we are glad to bring back a web page devoted to vocal music
and opera under the banner of La Scena Vocale. Right now, the page
will organize articles on vocal music in categories of news,
profiles/interviews, articles, reviews, CD reviews, obituaries, and
news releases. Please visit http://vocale.scena.org . The page is
still under testing. And, we welcome suggestions to improve its
functionality. We are also looking for volunteers to track down
articles on the web.
