Even though there is a tendency to cast smaller voices for Baroque
opera, I believe Cleopatra from Handel's Julius Caesar is really for
a dramatic. If you've got the high notes, you could show people how
her arias should be sung. People are used to seeing not-so-ripe
sopranos doing it, so you probably wouldn't get a lot of flack.
