I've decided the closest Puccini comes to an excerptable aria for mezzo is La Frugola's paen to her cat in IL TABARRO. There are interjections by Giorgetta, but I think those can be edited out reasonably successfully, resulting in a musically not-too-engaging but comically delightful aria for mezzo.
