trevor,
almaviva and figaro have a duet (barber of seville) and figaro does not
necessarily have to have a lovely voice. there's the duet from 'pearl
fishers' and the boheme duet. depending on the tenor, pinkerton and
thankless...uh, i mean sharpless have a great duet in 'butterfly'.
