Barry,
As the mother of a young soprano who is in the process of auditioning to be a
voice performance major I applaud you! You are so very right about the
damage done to young voices, and face it- a lot of halls are HUGE now and
orchestras even larger. I am somewhat hearing impaired, and believe me, I am
thankful for amplification in certain circumstances-it is the only way I can
hear what is being sung!

And as for your program, well the proof of the pudding is in the
eating..........
