Hi Pat,
I have had Ulcerative Colitis for 28 years and except for when I first got it (same fears as you, must be near a bathroom, never knew from day to day what it would be like, going to the bathroom alot) it has not effected my singing at all. The only trouble I have now is if I forget to take my second daily dose of Sulfasulazine (the drug I am taking) for several days in a row and then I have to go to the bathroom a little more often than normal.
As far as I know it has not affected my voice in any way shape or form.
You just need to get over that first initial hurdle until it calms down and you can get into a routine for the your day.
The one thing I do like about having Colitis is that I go 10-200 every day and usually only once a day, at the same time every day - in the morning first thing. That way it is out of the way - so to speak - and I don't have to worry about going 10-200 again for the rest of the day (if the Colitis is behaving itself that is).
