"It was I Pagliacci"

I'm sorry, but when I saw this, the only thing that came to mind was "I am
I Don Quixote" from Man of La Mancha. I've been singing "It was I
Pagliacci" to that tune ever since I opened the e-mail. It's been a sick,
twisted sort of day.

So, Graham... has anyone tried to put a mike on YOU?

The only time I was miked was in a 40,000 seat in-door sports stadion. It
was I Pagliacci, and for the first entrance we came in driving cars! We
also had headphones, so we could here the orchestra, which was at times 300
yards away! Without mikes and headphones, the whole thing would not
function.

As regards to opera houses, I have never been miked, howerer I have seen
miking going on.

Ciao,

Graham
