Dear Pat -
I have been down this road and am now a 47
yr. old, and back to singing.
I too had to simply stop for awhile as the
symptoms would get in the way of my sound
and all the discomfort that went along with it.
PLEASE find an excellent Holistic or homeopathic
Dr. You will find from traditional
Meds that within about 3 months your body will
build up imunity to the drugs and they become
ineffective. (You will then be back at square
one). My Herbologist put me on an extensive
one year plan of intestinal cleansing and
rebuilding the digestive "juices" that diminish
as we naturally age. Singers have a greater
propensity to this problem due to the unusual
uses of our body so we actually can create the
problem. ALSO I have always been Upper
respiratory sensitive and so this coupled with
my singing made the problem quite extreme.
I will not give you the Herbs that I took ,
because each case needs to be diagnosed by
a professional. BUT you can start healing
your intestinal lining by drinking a Aloe Vera
juice right away. You'll notice relaxation of
those inflamed intestines and the Stomach.
Try to avoid products with the lemon juice
additive.

digesting my food properly.
The Herbologist did a great Job. I now
just take one of the Herbs when I feel I need
to but most of the time I am now free of all
the "Pill taking".
