Don't know if it is a coincidence, but I've noticed many of the people who
have joined 'backstage' so far are people who aren't primarily into opera.
We still talk about singing (usually), but the topics aren't so narrowly
defined. Perhaps some of us felt out of place on the main list whenever we
started to veer from Vennard and Miller...
