With all due respect, I think you're overreacting. An 'H' can help one find a gentle glottal stroke, especially for those whose glottal attacks are too hard. Besides, the original question was on keeping the sound from falling back into the throat. (I know, I know, it doesn't really do that, but we all know the feeling she's describing.) My suggestion is to try the same exercise using heee, as eee naturally tends to be a forward sound, then on hooo, and keep the sound in the same place.
