Well, what most people mean by a break is a place that is sorta "between"
the voices where it is harder to sing with the same tone quality and
clarity. This is a problem mostly caused by a person controlling the
sound too much and not letting the larynx move freely as it should.
Breaks can be "unlearned" in a manner of speaking. My teacher calls it
"singing through the breaks" or potentially hazardous places. Not
everyone has this problem.
