To those listers who haven't checked out the site Bob Kravitz found -the one
with the Real Audio recordings of singers of long ago-it is absolutely great!
A number of years ago, my significant others' father, a man of about 80 at
the time, heard me sing and compared my voice to that of John Charles
Thomas. I had never heard Mr. Thomas until this morning when I went to the
site. I think I'll download the songs and add them to my repertoire.
I was rehearsing last week with MFoxy(she and I have been working on some
music for weddings, etc-and YES we met through Vocalist) and I was lamenting
about the loss of a large number of 78's I once owned. There are a lot of the
same artists on the site. What once was lost , now is found!
