HI Listers, Our mixed choral group was giving an Xmas concert on Friday night last, and I was singing five solo numbers.--- "O Isis und Osiris" "A te L'estre mo Addio" "Rocked in the cradle of the deep" Old man River" &" When a Child is Born" a fairly eclectic group. On Thursday Morning I broke my front tooth, mad rush to dentist. He put in a temporary two tooth bridge, which my tongue kept hitting on the TH's the Ss etc. However things were flying along and even if I say it myself my voice was in great form bottom notes reaching the back of the church. I was halfway through "il lacerato spirito" when I felt someone tugging my sleeve - the music had stopped, the accompanist had misplaced a page of the score. the poor woman was mortified, my wife was worse she thought I had screwed up {again} . We are singing again on Sunday I think I'll staple the score to the piano. We got Two encores on Rachmaninov's "Bogoroditsye Dyevo" it really is a beautiful piece.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy Xmas, and all that they wish for in the New Year.
Regards Leo ----Drogheda
