At the funeral of our recently deceased chair of the School of Music
(Dr. Clyn Barrus) here at BYU it was said of him by one of our choir
conductors, Ron Staheli that "Clyn Barrus understood that truth takes
time. He believed that the righteous hopes, dreams and visions of
others are not to be crushed so that the truth might speedily prevail."

As a voice teacher, delivering "vocal truth" is my job. I have that
quote on my wall to remind me that truth must be delivered in balance
with ample quantities of love for the truth to be received and be
implemented.
