I wonder if this "falsetto" is not rather a sort of whistle register... Th= e whole posture and breathing process is probably to be checked and correcte= d. Some easier tricks: have it start from a sigh or make steam and feel the h= ot and moist air on his fingers, with the jaw, mouth, lips etc perfectly relaxed... as if half asleep... dreaming...
