Once again, this topic is irresistable..
The real story about "Blinded by the Light" is that is was written by Bruce
Springsteen- originally on his "Greetings From Asbury Park" album and
covered(badly) by Manfred Mann. MM just never bothered to learn the lyrics(
which were included in the original sleeve)
They are : "Blinded by the light, cut loose like a deuce, another runner in
the night...etc"
But I'll be the first to admit it sounds a LOT different when Manfred Mann
sings them. Springsteen has a habit of writing more lyrics per bar than just
about anybody, so covering his material is not so easy.
(and in my DJ voice)...
And now back to music worth listening to..
