Katchia,
Vocal problems related to one's cycle are quite common. Some women sing a bit flat, others have support problems, others have a slight swelling of the folds (just as they have swolen fingers & bodies) which cause them problems. I understand in Europe, contracts were written to excuse a woman during "that time". Now, you just have to learn to deal with it. Watch what you eat...don't go heavy on salt. Get plenty of rest, realize you are probably going to have to "work harder" to support than you usually do. Most professional singers I know figure out how to work around these things eventually. Gigs are too important to have to cancel because of our cycles. That's why we study & work...to develop a technique that will carry us through anything! Good luck finding the remedies that work for you...don't give up...you WILL figure out how to sing...at all times of the month! Regards, Barbara
