I strongly recommend that you get the Medium High edition of 26 ITALIAN
SONGS AND ARIAS, published by Alfred Publishing. These Italian "arie
antiche" are excellent for the beginning classical singer to work with -
actually, they're excellent for ALL singers to work with to keep
well-grounded in Bel Canto technique without the distractions of
histrionics.
