Hiya,
I was talking to a few people I know who are involved in music. It's frustrating but I was told that record companies receive hundreds of demo tapes a day. I don't know if that was an exaggeration or not. And then I was told that if the demo tape is actually listened to then it's only given the first 30 seconds or else it's chucked. Does anyone know if that is really true? And if so then how do you become that one out of a hundred a day that is heard? And how do you prove yourself in 30 seconds?
