Don't feel so badly about this. The reviewer probably doesn't have much
appreciation for music in general. He may not even be educated in it at
all. That would cause him to react negatively to your performance. I
find that people who are narrow-minded (basically only saying good things
about music they 'like') are lacking in aesthetic appreciation. It's his
loss, not yours. I'm sure it was an innovative combination. People are
always distrusting of new things. I would have liked to hear it myself.
