In my opinion, Musical Theater is almost never concerned with fach. They only care if you can hit the notes and actually sound good. If you can act is more important than your fach to determine if you get a role or not. I am a lyric Baritone and I audition for Tenor roles that I can sing and
I audition for Baritone roles. Even the people on Broadway never seem to mind what fach you are. Tenors sing Curley in Oklahoma! and Billy Bigalow in Carousel. If you can sing a piece well and it is not unhealthy for your voice go for it. People are so caught up in what voice type they are.
Be more concerned with how the music fits you voice and range.
