Hi. I grew up in the fifties and one of my favorite Saturday night past times was watching the "Million Dollar Movie" program that ran after the 10 p.m. news. I seem to remember that all of the women sang in head voice, so when I was a teenager trying to sing the popular music I thought I couldn't sing because the only way I knew how was head voice. If I had had a good teacher back then I'd be way ahead of the game now, because I never did acquire a liking for singing popular music. (Well, I do enjoy some belt songs, like "Mame", but I didn't grow up on that type of music.)
If you really want your children, especially girls, to hear head music, see what you can find in old music films.
