I once heard Seth Riggs speak and demonstrate some of his techniques at a master class
held at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. He played a tape of his wife singing. He had
reportedly taught her the technique she used. It was extremely high and well produced. It
was thrilling (e.g., a clarion g above high c)!

I claim no knowledge beyond what I have just shared about the specifics of his technique,
however, I hasten to add that anything you read on this list is probably not going to impart
what you would have gotten from the man himself. Words fail in the absence of
demonstration. I only make this comment because I believe that what you understood
from comments and hearing singers may have lead you to a conclusion that may not be
accurate. I would also add that there is not a teacher on this list who hasn't had at least
one student mis-apply all that he was taught to wretched result, and then, had that same
student proudly tout his/her name as the brilliant pedagog who has made it all possible.
Horrors.
