dear divasop.,
i am sorry you are having such problems. i strongly urge you to place a
medical throat specialist's opinion, as to what is best for you, over the
opinions of any voice teacher if the doctor is looking at your throat and the
voice teachers are not. you may, on your own, take the chance to re-examine
how you sing and consider whether, if any, that has contributed to your
current state. my best wishes to you for a speedy recovery and i hope that
you will be better off for the experience of having gone through this.
