A NORTHERNLIGHT search pulled up 7 references to a harpeleik zither, though neither Grinde's A History of Norwegian Music nor Grove knows anything about it. The CD cover they showed has a small zither sitting on one of the musicians' lap. I don't know if it is played in that position. john
