Pardonez-MOI?!?!?! I've not been so good about keeping up reading my Digests here but this statement strikes me as being...ahem...a bit ridiculous.

I have seen Mr. Carreras in recital and despite any perceived flaws in his technique, found the experience very, very enjoyable. In fact, in some ways it was far better than I expected. That evening I understood why he is considered a "world-class" singer.

Classical singing is a tough profession. It takes talent, nerve, physical stamina...sheesh...I couldn't do it. Those who have "made it" (even if we suspect favoritism, etc.) in the main deserve their fame and fortune. We may not care for a particular voice, individual taste being what it is,
but to call Carreras (and Domingo) "dreadful" just isn't right.

My duece's worth....

Hugs,
PJ.
