Hello, list.
Here is another question to ponder. When I've lost weight in the past, I feel as if I lose some critical "buffer" of strength. Suddenly, I am incapable of taking full, deep breaths unless I am lying flat on my back. Standing up, I just can't get good expansion, down or out to the sides, and all my breaths are those icky chest and shoulder types. It's like I NEED the extra bulk to "lean" against in my support.
There *must* be a way to counter this. Nathan Gunn and Rodney Gilfrey must have disgustingly low body-fat percentages, and they manage to support beautifully.
Which muscles need to be strengthened to make up for this loss? It's almost like I need to have just eaten a huge, filling meal to sing my best, and if I lose even 5 pounds my breathing system is disrupted.
Regular situps? Back-muscle machines at the gym? Just sing everything lying on the ground?
