John, Mike and List:

For those not from America, and there are many on the List, "tongue in
cheek" references to loutish American sports figures and Chevy Chase's
signature dismissal of Jane Curtin on 80's Saturday Night Live episodes
("Jane, you ignorant sl*t!") may fall flat. Just want to quickly clear THAT
one up before anyone takes understandable offense. Now should our
Continental friends retaliate with European-specific "humour", I promise to
give them the benefit of the doubt before I assume I'm being insulted. Fair
is fair after all. As long, of course, as it is has some tenuous connection
to the study or teaching of voice ;-}
