Dear Listers!

Thank you one and all for taking up this thread. It has given me a lot to
think about and some very sensible suggestions to put forward when this
topic is discussed at the college where I am teaching.

One thing still intigues me. Are the students expected to learn the songs
on their own? We have a system here, where we play the song line for line
on tape for the students because they cannot read music or play the piano!
Not all our students are like thAt, but I suspect the ones that would be
put into a group will be.
