I don't know who you mean by "you all" (good southern term! :), but I have never read on this list where anyone advocated using ONLY the bubble exercise. It is simply one exercise, useful in a big palette of exercises, designed to help with certain aspects of technique. Many other exercises are also needed to balance the process. Have you by chance missed the recent discussions on quacking and gargling? That is certainly all about vocal fold adduction.
