Hello, Stephanie. Yes, I've been where you are now. With the encouragement
of the folks on this list I have pursued my singing and can't believe where
I am now compared to where I was just a year or so ago.

You have to do this. You know you must because you want it so much.
Perhaps you aren't ready for solo work. Find a choir and join it. You'll
have the support of other singers, not only emotionally, but singing with a
group of folks is much easier than singing solo.

Go to auditions. Some companies allow auditioners to sit in the audience
and watch. If you can do that you'll be amazed at not only the talent, but
at the courage some folks have. I don't say that to be cruel, but one
audition I attended will stay with me forever. I'll never forget two young
ladies who could barely sing, probably nerves, but I admired their gumption
to get up and try.

Good luck,
Nancy
