I wrote in before that I agree - and I still do, about the annoyance factor
- however, perhaps "bad" is exactly what they were looking for, for an
exaggerated "funny" effect. On the other hand, there is a different
commercial out right now for a paging service or a cell phone, I can't
remember which, where a man gets a cell phone call in the middle of the
opera and the singer doing her aria stops right in the middle, takes her
spear and sends it flying up into the balcony and nails the guy on the
phone. (Has anyone else seen that?) In that one, the singer has a fine
voice and sounds like someone who really sings. Least that's what I think.

So though it drives us crazy, I think the ad people know what they want and
the find it. Maybe a trio of really "good" voices wouldn't have been
"funny" enough for Dominos, whereas the other commerical needed a lovely
voice to emphasize how awful it is to disturb performances.

Just playing devil's advocate, better than playing devil.
