Hi,
I'm looking for some suggestions regarding repertoire for a church service I've been asked to sing for. I am a high-baritone/low-tenor (Somebody once said I am a helden tenor). Anyway, the service topic is described thusly:
"It is said that whatever doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. It is human nature to resist growth and change in favor of the status quo. From my years of undergraduate study in psychology, I recall that most of our major growth happens in moments of dissociation. This refers to the time when reality as it presents itself no longer fits with your understanding of it, thus you grow in your understanding of life and the world we live in. The service will focus on how we grow and change through our major life transitions and significant turning points."
One suggested piece is Vaughn Williams "The Call". I need two more, and my solo repertoire is very limited.
