When I have worked with people with nodules, I have let the individual voice
tell me what therapy it needed. We would gently explore what sounds the
person could and could not make, and work carefully with the ones that gave the
healthiest vocal production. Often it is the /i/ vowel that does this, but
every person is unique, as we know.
