Kyle:If your community has Recreation Centres or Community Centres, there are
often practise facilities there that you can use. Sometimes there is a small
fee, but often they can be booked for free. If you are going to practise in
your car (and I often do), try to find a quiet place where you can pull off to
the side and park That way you can devote all of your attention to singing
rather than dividing it between driving and vocalizing!! Some apartment
complexes also have music/practise rooms that can be used. Check among your
friends (and your parents friends) to see if anyone lives in such a place.
There might be local performing arts companies that have unused rehearsal space
available. Ballet or dance studios with mirrored walls are ideal practise
places. You can't not watch yourself from different angles to check alignment
and posture!
Hope this is of some help.
